Quarterly results: Olympique Lyonnais on the rise

On September 30, 2024, Olympique Lyonnais Groupe announced total operating revenues of €66.1 million, compared to €123.1 million the previous year. This decrease is mainly due to a decrease in player trading revenues, which fell to €29.7 million compared to €90.5 million a year earlier. Despite this decrease, operating revenues increased by 12%, reaching €36.5 million, thanks in particular to participation in the Europa League.

Ticket revenues increased by 15% to €7.3m, driven by European fixtures. TV rights revenues decreased by 61% to €2.8m, due to the reduction in LFP/FFF domestic rights. Merchandise and other brand revenues contributed to this increase with a 13% increase.

The impact of player transfers fell sharply, from €90.5 million to €29.7 million, reflecting less profitable transfers for this period.
