Q.beyond Aids Neue Westfälische in Adopting SAP S/4HANA

On April 23, 2024, Cologne-based IT service provider q.beyond announced its successful support for the publisher Neue Westfälische in upgrading to SAP S/4HANA. This transition was aimed at modernizing and streamlining their business processes and ERP system alignment.

Neue Westfälische, which serves over 200,000 customers, has reduced its process landscape by more than 60%, demonstrating significant efficiency improvements post-upgrade. The move from the former SAP R/3 to the more advanced SAP S/4HANA included extensive preliminary testing and was completed in a single weekend, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

The upgrade has enabled the publisher to make quicker decisions through an in-memory-based system that speeds up functions like procurement and marketing. Thies Rixen, CEO of q.beyond, emphasized their all-encompassing role from consulting to deployment and ongoing development in implementing the latest S/4HANA version.
