Prehost.com has launched a service providing accurate speed benchmarks from over 17 million websites. The service emphasizes reliable web hosting performance insights based on real user visits, focusing on the crucial TTFB (Time to First Byte) parameter.

This new offering aims to reveal the true performance of web hosting services using hard data. Monthly analyses based on real user interactions offer a unique perspective in an industry often dominated by synthetic tests and subjective reviews.

Speed is a critical factor for online success. Statistics show that 53% of visits may be abandoned if a page takes more than 3 seconds to load. Akamai data indicates a 100-millisecond delay can reduce conversion rates by 7%, while a 0.5-second delay, according to Google's 2017 research, can lead to a 20% drop in purchases.

"Efficient web hosting is the foundation of a website," says Mateusz Mazurek, founder of Prehost.com. The service's focus on TTFB measures the time from when a browser sends a request to when the server responds, reflecting server responsiveness independent of front-end optimizations.
