The Porsche Leipzig plant has claimed the 2025 Automotive Lean Production Award in the OEM category. Recognized for its lean, digitally networked, and automated production processes, this accolade highlights the site's commitment to quality and cost-effectiveness. The award, presented annually by Agamus Consult and Automobil Produktion magazine, underscores the plant's innovative approach to production.

The Leipzig facility has consistently applied lean principles, enhancing efficiency and flexibility. Three powertrain concepts—petrol, hybrid, and electric—are produced in a mixed model flow on a single line. Albrecht Reimold of Porsche AG emphasizes the importance of lean systems for competitiveness and innovation.

Chairman Gerd Rupp sees the award as a testament to the team's process optimization and collective performance. The award ceremony will occur in November 2025 at Volkswagen Poznań, Poland.
