Polaroid Therapeutics Achieves CE Mark for Novel Wound Care Product

Polaroid Therapeutics (PTx) announces that its product, POLTX_Fiber™, has received CE Mark approval. POLTX_Fiber™, a Class IIb medical device, integrates the innovative Antimicrobial Polymer Technology (APT™) to set a new standard in wound care. This product marks Polaroid Therapeutics' first foray into the wound care sector.

POLTX_Fiber™ is designed as an antimicrobial gelling fiber dressing, incorporating sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and cellulose fibers. It aims to prevent bacterial colonization without promoting antimicrobial resistance. The dressing forms a gel upon absorbing wound exudate, providing a moist environment and supporting wound healing processes.

The product targets various wound types, including chronic wounds and ulcers. Following its certification, Polaroid Therapeutics plans to introduce POLTX_Fiber™ in select European markets, aiming to establish a broader APT™-powered product line.
