PLANOPTIK AG: Half-year figures 2024 and outlook

According to preliminary figures, PLANOPTIK AG's consolidated sales in the first half of 2024 amounted to EUR 5,952 thousand, compared to EUR 6,649 thousand the previous year. This decline is attributed to temporary inventory adjustments at key customers. New projects acquired were insufficient to offset these declines in the first half of the year.

EBITDA stood at EUR 643 thousand, down from EUR 1,224 thousand the previous year. EBIT was EUR 272 thousand, compared to EUR 864 thousand, and EBT reached EUR 300 thousand, down from EUR 843 thousand. The net profit for the first half of the year was EUR 204 thousand, a decrease from EUR 610 thousand in the previous year.

PLANOPTIK AG anticipates significantly lower Group sales and earnings for the full year 2024 compared to the prior year. However, from 2025 onwards, the company expects a substantial increase in sales and profits. This expected growth is based on the completion of customer inventory adjustments and new series production orders from existing and additional customers.
