PHYLA Announces Strategic Partnerships and Expansion into The Gambia

PHYLA Earth Limited has unveiled a series of collaborations aimed at leveraging the pongamia plant for various applications. A notable partnership includes a commercial agreement with the University of Bradford to derive bio-compounds from pongamia for cosmetics and superfoods. This initiative focuses on maximizing compound yield through advanced extraction technologies.

Additionally, PHYLA is working with UPM to assess agroforestry concepts in South America, focusing on pongamia's potential on degraded lands. This collaboration aims to enhance environmental preservation and provide economic benefits to local communities.

Expanding into The Gambia, PHYLA, in collaboration with EcoHub, will develop pongamia nurseries and land regeneration projects. Supported by GiEPA and endorsed by President Adama Barrow, the initiative seeks to transform unproductive areas into thriving landscapes, providing local employment and increasing regional food and energy security.
