ParTec AG Advances German Quantum Computing with QSolid Milestone

On December 2, 2025, ParTec AG announced a significant achievement in the QSolid project, marking a step forward in Germany's quantum computing sector. For the first time, external users can access a quantum computer prototype integrated into the Jülich Supercomputing Centre's infrastructure. This progress, facilitated by ParTec's ParaStation Modulo software, strengthens Germany's quantum computing ecosystem.

QSolid, involving 26 partners and funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, aims to develop robust qubit technologies. The early provision of a 10-qubit prototype for external users signifies a crucial development, enabling practical tests during a set trial phase. For ParTec, this milestone underscores the integration of quantum computing into high-performance computing systems, advancing towards hybrid HPC/QC solutions.

ParTec CEO Bernhard Frohwitter highlighted the strategic importance of these advancements in modular architectures. The QSolid and HPCQS projects reflect Europe's significant investment in hybrid HPC quantum infrastructures, promoting a scalable quantum computing ecosystem.
