Ottobock Continues Providing Technical Service for Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025
The medical technology company Ottobock will support the first-ever Winter hybrid Invictus Games in Vancouver and Whistler, from February 8 to 16, 2025.
They will provide technical service for competitors’ equipment, ensuring they can focus entirely on the competition. Ottobock will also supply 70 sports wheelchairs for events including Wheelchair Curling, Wheelchair Basketball, and Wheelchair Rugby. Peter Franzel of Ottobock emphasized the importance of sport in rehabilitation and health, aligning with the Games' mission.
The 2025 Games, established by Prince Harry, will introduce winter sports such as Biathlon, Nordic Skiing, and Snowboarding to the traditional adaptive sports lineup. Vancouver and Whistler, known for hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics, offer world-class venues for this significant event. Scott Moore, CEO of the 2025 Games, praised Ottobock's continued support for adaptive sports and rehabilitation.
Since the first Invictus Games in 2014, Ottobock has provided free technical services for competitors, enhancing inclusion with activities like a wheelchair course and try-out stations.
