Ostrom Climate Supports New Rice Methane Reduction Methodology

Ostrom Climate Solutions Inc. has endorsed the recently unveiled VM0051 methodology by Verra for rice methane reduction, marking a significant advancement in reinforcing emission reduction projects' credibility. This update by Verra facilitates more extensive eligible activities and enhanced monitoring, aligning with Ostrom's commitment to high-integrity climate action.

Ostrom is initiating the registration of its Upper Pampanga River Climate-Smart Agriculture Rice Project in the Philippines under this new methodology. The project, covering approximately 100,000 hectares, aims to cut methane emissions by up to 48% per hectare through improved rice cultivation practices.
