Georges Mikautadze transfers from Lyon to Villarreal

Olympique Lyonnais has formalized the transfer of player Georges Mikautadze to the Spanish club Villarreal. This transaction is worth €36 million, with €5 million in bonuses and a potential 10% profit share on any future capital gains.

Mikautadze, a Georgian international with 37 caps and 20 goals, came through his youth at Lyon. After stints at Metz, Seraing, and Ajax Amsterdam, he returned to Lyon to play in 49 matches, scoring 18 goals and providing 11 assists. His commitment to the club and his fighting spirit have been praised by Lyon fans.
