Oliver Behrens Named CEO of flatexDEGIRO AG

flatexDEGIRO AG has announced the appointment of Oliver Behrens as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2024, for a period of three years. Behrens, formerly the CEO of Morgan Stanley Europe SE, will also lead flatexDEGIRO Bank AG. The company's Supervisory Board highlights his extensive 40-year experience in the financial industry as a key asset.

The appointment arrives with additional organizational changes. Dr. Benon Janos, currently CFO, is named Deputy CEO from October 1, 2024. His and CTO Stephan Simmang's contracts are extended until May 2029. The updated Management Board will thus include Oliver Behrens, Dr. Benon Janos, Stephan Simmang, and Christiane Strubel (CHRO).

Martin Korbmacher, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, praised Behrens's industry experience and team-oriented leadership style, viewing it as a considerable gain for the company. The new appointments are subject to approval by BaFin, the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority.
