NuRAN Wireless Secures Second Loan Instalment for Expansion in Cameroon
NuRAN Wireless Inc. has received a second loan instalment of US$ 1.05M from the Facility for Energy Inclusion, managed by Cygnum Capital. This funding is part of a total US$ 5M agreement, with an initial drawdown completed in July 2024. The funds will support NuRAN's Network as a Service operations in Cameroon, focused on renewable energy-powered infrastructures.
CEO Francis Létourneau highlights the crucial role of Cygnum Capital's support in expanding mobile connectivity in Africa's remote regions. This financial boost will assist NuRAN in achieving its 2025 objectives of deploying affordable mobile networks in underserved communities.
