NuRAN Wireless Secures 200-Site NaaS Agreement with MTN Benin

NuRAN Wireless Inc., a key player in mobile and broadband infrastructure, announces a significant agreement with MTN Benin for 200 rural sites. This 5-year Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) contract aims to deploy 2G, 3G, and 4G services across Benin. The agreement includes a renewal option for another five years, reinforcing the partnership between NuRAN and MTN in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The contract marks NuRAN’s presence in eight countries within the region, enhancing connectivity in remote areas. Following the deal, NuRAN now has 5,092 sites under contract, over 50% of its target of 10,000 sites within five years.

NuRAN also announced the receipt of an initial US $2.5 million drawdown from the Facility for Energy Inclusion. This funding will enable new site builds in Benin, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Madagascar. The funding also supports moving existing inventory to South Sudan.
