Nova Biomedical has announced the acquisition of certain assets from NanoCellect, a company known for its microfluidic cell sorting technology. This move is set to enhance Nova Biomedical's capabilities in cell line development, crucial for supporting biopharmaceutical workflows from development to manufacturing.

The integration brings the NanoCellect WOLF G2 cell sorting platform, which offers gentle and precise cell selection, into Nova's existing Solentim portfolio. This combination aims to create a seamless process in cell line development, covering cell selection, single-cell isolation, and verification of clones.

With this acquisition, Nova seeks to speed up cell line development and improve clone selection, laying a robust foundation for process development and manufacturing. The company's portfolio now includes analytical tools for cell culture monitoring, further supporting its comprehensive strategy across the bioprocessing lifecycle.
