North Peak Receives Approval to Expand Exploration at Prospect Mountain

North Peak Resources Ltd., a gold exploration company based in Calgary, Alberta, has received approval from the Bureau of Land Management to expand its exploration zone at Prospect Mountain, Nevada. The approved modification to their Plan of Operations increases the surface exploration area by 642%, now totaling 189.9 acres. This expansion includes the main mountain ridge and accessible east side of the property.

CEO Brian Hinchcliffe stated that the extension will allow for more extensive drilling for gold mineralization, particularly targeting the historic Homestake hole at Prospect Mountain East. Drilling is anticipated to begin soon as operations in the Wabash zone are nearing completion.

The focus will be on areas previously deemed non-prospective, particularly where historical drilling revealed potential Carlin-style mineralization beneath overthrust rocks. The geological contact important for this mineralization type is also present at a nearby property within the district.
