Nordex Group Secures 102 MW Orders from Akfen Renewable Energy in Türkiye
Hamburg, 20 August 2024. The Nordex Group has received significant orders from Akfen Renewable Energy Inc. for a total of 102 MW in Türkiye. The orders involve 19 units from the Delta4000 series to be installed at five existing wind farms starting in autumn 2025. This includes a Premium Service contract for ten years, extendable for another five years.
Key installations will take place at the Hasanoba and Kocalar wind farms with five N149/5.X turbines each. Additional orders include nine N133/4800 turbines for wind farms in Denizli, Sarıtepe, and Üçpınar. These turbines will be mounted on tubular steel towers with hub heights ranging from 83 to 125 meters.
Ender Özatay, Vice President for Türkiye and the Middle East at Nordex, emphasized the strategic alignment of turbine technology with site conditions and the local production of rotor blades. Mustafa Kemal Güngör, General Manager of Akfen, highlighted the contract’s importance in advancing their carbon-neutral mission.
