Nordex Group Receives Order from Spain for Almost 124 MW
The Nordex Group has secured an order from Aquila Clean Energy for 123.9 MW in Spain. Starting in summer 2025, Nordex will supply and install 21 N163/5.X turbines for the Baza cluster in Granada province. The order includes a 20-year Premium Service contract. Aquila Clean Energy has the option to extend the order by up to 24 turbines, to be confirmed by 31 August 2024.
The Baza cluster spans eight locations between Granada and Almeria in Andalusia. Nordex will install the Delta4000 series turbines on 108-meter-high steel towers. The wind farm is set to be operational by 2026.
Patxi Landa, Chief Sales Officer of Nordex, expressed satisfaction in their partnership with Aquila Clean Energy, highlighting Nordex's strong market share in Spain, exceeding 30% per year in recent years.
