Nordea Bank Plc announces the repurchase of its own shares
On February 22, 2024, Nordea Bank Plc announced the completion of the repurchase of its own shares, carried out on February 21, 2024. This operation is part of the share buy-back program announced on April 26, 2023, authorized by the 2023 Annual General Meeting, with a maximum amount of 1.0 billion EUR.
In detail, Nordea acquired 590,815 shares at a weighted average price of 11.12 EUR per share, representing a total cost of 6,569,430.68 EUR. The transactions took place on several markets, including XHEL, CEUX, XSTO, and XCSE. Following these purchases, Nordea now holds 15,912,565 shares in treasury for capital optimization purposes and 4,787,315 shares for remuneration needs.
These shares were purchased in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052. For more details on each transaction, an appendix accompanies this announcement.
