U.S. Prioritizes NioCorp's Minerals for National Security

The U.S. Government has elevated niobium, dysprosium, and terbium, found in NioCorp Developments Ltd.'s Elk Creek Project, to higher urgency status within its critical minerals list. These minerals are crucial for U.S. national and economic security out of all 54 identified critical minerals. Niobium is highlighted for its significant role, as limited access to it may severely impact U.S. GDP.

NioCorp's Elk Creek, fully permitted for construction, could be strategic in enhancing domestic mineral production. U.S. currently relies heavily on imported niobium, primarily from Brazil. If disrupted, it ranks second-highest in potential negative GDP impact.

NioCorp's CEO, Mark A. Smith, emphasizes the importance of advancing the Elk Creek Project to mitigate dependency on foreign resources. This move aligns with federal initiatives to bolster mining and mineral processing in the U.S. for greater economic resilience.
