New World Development Recognised in TIME Magazine's Top 50 'World’s Most Sustainable Companies'

New World Development Company Limited (NWD) has been honoured by TIME Magazine as one of the "World's Most Sustainable Companies of 2024." The company ranks 43rd on the inaugural list, standing out among over 5,000 competitors. This recognition highlights NWD's achievements in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, including climate actions and energy conservation.

The ranking process, conducted by TIME and Statista, evaluated companies based on more than 20 sustainability indicators. NWD's proactive integration of sustainability into its business model, including green buildings and emissions reduction, helped secure its place. The company has also set ambitious renewable energy targets and incorporates climate considerations into its investment decisions.

NWD is committed to renewable energy, aiming for 100% renewable use in its rental properties in Greater China by 2031. The company also promotes workplace diversity, boasting 35.3% female representation on its board. New World's focus on sustainable finance is evident in its various green and social bond initiatives.
