The dip was primarily due to decreasing valuations of listed holdings and unfavorable currency exchange rates. Growth in private company investments stood at 6.9% in constant currency, also below its usual performance, with reduced exit activity diminishing exit-related gains.

However, the underlying strength of NBPE's investments was evident, as investee companies' EBITDA saw a robust 12% growth over the past year. Equipped with $283 million in cash and credit facilities, and minimal fund commitments, NBPE is well-positioned to seize new investment opportunities.
