TAIWAN CRAFTS & DESIGN Returns to Maison&Objet Paris 2026

The National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute (NTCRI), under Taiwan's Ministry of Culture, unveils TAIWAN CRAFTS & DESIGN at Maison&Objet Paris 2026. This event marks the return of Taiwan's vibrant craft scene to an international platform, showcasing seven brands: KIMU, Lumamiling, MOTOR design, Pan Pan Hua, TOMO, UMAMI, and WÈI CRAFT.

The exhibit delves into Taiwan's rich materials, techniques, and cultural heritage, presenting them in a modern context. KIMU combines nostalgia with modernity, while Lumamiling highlights sustainability by using traditional barkcloth. MOTOR design merges cultural perspectives with innovation. Pan Pan Hua offers artisanal ceramic tiles inspired by architectural heritage. TOMO emphasizes craftsmanship in woodwork, and UMAMI creates multifunctional furniture. WÈI CRAFT focuses on leather goods designed for longevity.

This initiative broadens the concept of "Made in Taiwan," linking traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, aiming for global integration in daily life.
