Nakiki SE to Finance Lawsuits Against Online Casinos

Nakiki SE has announced its commitment to financing up to 100 monthly lawsuits against online casinos through its subsidiary, Legal Finance SE. This decision follows a German federal court ruling on March 22, 2024, which highlighted the potential illegality of these online gambling contracts up to the year 2021.

The financed lawsuits are based on a legal interpretation that players may be entitled to reclaim losses due to the questionable legality of their gaming contracts. This initiative will be in collaboration with various consumer protection law firms, aiming to leverage German case law that supports the players' rights to recover funds lost in online gambling.
