Mutares Acquires TREPEL Airport Equipment and MAFI Transport-Systeme

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has finalized the acquisition of TREPEL Airport Equipment GmbH and MAFI Transport-Systeme GmbH from NDW Maschinenbau Holding GmbH. These companies are noted providers of ground support equipment and heavy-duty tractors under the TREPEL and MAFI brands. Their operations, spanning over 115 countries, focus on aircraft tractors, cargo high loaders, and industrial logistics systems. Collectively, they generate revenues of approximately EUR 150 million.

The acquisition strengthens Mutares’ Infrastructure & Defense segment. Both companies have a solid international presence and diverse product portfolio. Their integrated production facility in Germany and a service location in the USA underpin their robust global sales and service network.

This strategic purchase positions Mutares for enhanced profitability and sustainable growth, unlocking potential in global support and industrial transport markets. With around 410 employees, the companies are set for transformation and expansion, capitalizing on a growing service business.
