Mutares Acquires Serneke Sverige, Marking Largest 2024 Acquisition

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has announced its acquisition of Serneke Sverige AB from Serneke Group AB. This marks Mutares' eighth and largest acquisition in 2024, reinforcing its position in the Nordic market and its growth objectives.

Serneke Sverige specializes in constructing service and infrastructure properties, residential and commercial buildings. The company reported revenues of approximately EUR 700 million in 2023 and is Sweden's fourth-largest general contractor. It employs about 750 people and manages over 200 active projects.

The acquisition aims to enhance Mutares' Engineering & Technology segment. The closure of the deal is pending approvals related to mergers, foreign direct investments, and financial stability.

Robin Laik, CEO of Mutares, noted the strategic importance of the acquisition for their growth targets and Swedish market presence. This purchase follows the successful sale of Frigoscandia, further advancing Mutares' goal of achieving EUR 10 billion in group revenues.
