Morgan Stanley reduces its stake in Ubisoft Entertainment

On May 15, 2024, Morgan Stanley notified a falling threshold crossing, concerning its stake in Ubisoft Entertainment. The off-market transaction effectively reduces their holding to 4.05% of the capital and 3.73% of the voting rights of the French video game company.

The detailed structure of this participation is divided between several subsidiaries of Morgan Stanley, the main one being Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc, with 3.96% of the capital. The actions concerned also include “right to recall” contracts allowing the institution to recall the actions at any time. In addition, equity swap contracts are also held by Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc and Morgan Stanley Capital Services LLC, adding to the complexity of this investment structure.
