Monkey Island LNG Chooses ConocoPhillips Technology for New Facility

Monkey Island LNG has selected ConocoPhillips' Optimized Cascade® Process for its planned liquefaction and export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. The decision follows a thorough evaluation of multiple technologies, with the chosen process noted for its operational flexibility and high efficiency. This marks a significant step in Monkey Island LNG's goal to provide customers with competitively priced LNG.

The 246-acre site in Louisiana benefits from strategic access to deepwater shipping routes and abundant U.S. natural gas supplies. ConocoPhillips’ technology is expected to enhance project reliability and efficiency while reducing costs and risks.

Greg Michaels, CEO of Monkey Island LNG, emphasized the potential for secure, long-term LNG supply, aligning with the company's cost-efficient, transparent model. The project aims to meet the increasing global demand for natural gas.
