Completion of General Contractor Competition for Zurich Oerlikon RAD Site

Mobimo Holding AG has concluded its general contractor competition for a segment of the RAD site in Zurich Oerlikon. The contest involved five teams, culminating in a final decision between two contenders. Michael Meier Marius Hug Architekten, in collaboration with HRS Real Estate and Studio Vulkan, emerged as the winners.

Their proposed design aims to replace two old assembly halls in this historic industrial area with a new structure and a renovated existing building. This development will include approximately 150 residential units, providing a varied housing mix. The new architecture is designed to integrate with the industrial site's aesthetic, while also offering an expansive green area.

The project promises both rental apartments and condominium units, leveraging the site's prime location near Zurich Oerlikon railway station. Completion is anticipated by 2030.
