Mobilezone Divests German Operations to Concentrate on Swiss Market

Mobilezone Holding Ltd has finalized an agreement to sell its German business operations to freenet DLS GmbH, a subsidiary of freenet AG. This strategic move allows Mobilezone to refocus on the Swiss domestic market. The sale includes all German activities, such as online sales platforms Sparhandy, Deinhandy, the B2B division, and the MVNO business. With this transaction, Mobilezone aims to boost inorganic growth in Switzerland and reduce its debt burden.

Mobilezone’s German operations generated EUR 779 million in revenue in 2024. Since entering Germany in 2015, the company has earned a cumulative EBIT of EUR 250 million. The sale proceeds expected, around EUR 230 million, will facilitate Mobilezone's focus on strengthening its Swiss market position, targeting growth areas like B2B services and sustainability-oriented initiatives.
