Michter's Distillery Unveils 20-Year Bourbon Release
Michter's Distillery has announced the release of its 20 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon, approved by Master Distiller Dan McKee and Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson. Shipments will start on December 1st. This release follows Michter's receiving the title of World's Most Admired Whiskey for the third time, a ranking determined by an international panel of 100 drinks experts.
Joseph J. Magliocco, Michter's President, highlighted the complex process of aging bourbon in new barrels for 20 years, which blends art and science. Andrea Wilson emphasized the importance of meticulous barrel management for flavor enhancement, with this release boasting notes of vanilla, toffee, chocolate, and spice. The bourbon is bottled at a proof of 114.2, with a suggested retail price of $1,200 per 750ml bottle.
Michter's operates in Louisville and Springfield, Kentucky, offering educational tours and tastings. The distillery is known for producing premium American whiskeys.
