METAVISIO - THOMSON: Creation of a production subsidiary in Shenzhen

METAVISIO - THOMSON Computing, a French company specializing in laptop computers, announced the creation of a joint venture with the Chinese group PEOPLE. PEOPLE, a specialist in the telecommunications and satellite industry, employs around 30,000 people and achieved a turnover of $38 billion in 2023.

The new company, METAVISIO SHENZHEN, whose incorporation will be completed at the end of June 2024, aims to benefit from French know-how to create a range of THOMSON computers intended for the Asian market. METAVISIO - THOMSON will hold 36% of the shares, PEOPLE 51%, and internal partners 13%.

This collaboration allows METAVISIO to finance production and commercially develop its products in Asia, Europe and Africa. The marketing of computers will begin in the fourth quarter of 2024. Person in charge: Stéphan Français.
