Meridian Reports High-Grade Assay Results & New Geophysical Targets at Santa Helena
Meridian Mining UK S (TSX:MNO; Frankfurt/Tradegate:2MM; OTCQX:MRRDF) has announced significant assay results from its Santa Helena deposit, part of the Cabaçal Project in Mato Grosso, Brazil. Highlights include core CD-574, yielding 15.9m @ 3.9g/t AuEq / 2.6% CuEq from 58.2m, with a high-grade core of 5.5m @ 9.0g/t AuEq / 6.0% CuEq from 60.1m, and CD-556, showing 22.4m @ 3.2g/t AuEq / 2.2% CuEq from 9.2m.
Multiple geophysical programs have mapped Santa Helena's massive sulphides and identified potential targets for blind extensions, further boosting the deposit's viability for mining. Geophysical surveys have provided new parameters to explore the greater Cabaçal belt. Additional assay results are pending.
CEO Gilbert Clark remarked on the extensive continuity of the high-grade mineralization, reaffirming the prospects of Santa Helena as a high-grade open-pitable deposit. The resource estimate is expected in Q4 2024.
