Medit Expands into Orthodontics with Major Acquisition

Medit Corp., a leader in digital dentistry solutions, has announced the creation of its Global Orthodontic Business Division following its acquisition of Progressive Orthodontics. The strategy aims to integrate Medit's digital scanning and software with Progressive Orthodontics' education platform.

This development signifies Medit's significant move into the orthodontic sector, underlining a commitment to innovate orthodontic education and practice worldwide. CEO Han Ryu highlighted the acquisition as a pivotal moment, emphasizing the combination of Progressive Orthodontics' expertise and Medit's technological advancements.

The new division will bolster Medit's orthodontic offerings, particularly through the Medit Orthodontic Suite and Medit Aligners, initially available in the U.S. Progressive Orthodontics will continue its renowned training programs, integrating them with Medit's solutions to enhance clinical and technological learning.
