Mediso Installs TheraMAX SPECT/CT at Heidelberg University Hospital

Mediso has completed the installation of its AnyScan® TRIO-TheraMAX SPECT/CT system at the Heidelberg University Hospital's Department of Nuclear Medicine. This system is tailored for theranostic imaging needs, enhancing the department's capabilities in radioligand therapy with novel radiopharmaceuticals labeled with isotopes such as 177Lu and 225Ac.

TheraMAX offers advanced performance in quantitative imaging and dosimetry, excelling beyond current SPECT/CT systems. With enhanced sensitivity, the system achieves whole-body SPECT/CT scans in under 30 minutes. It employs large surface detectors and thick NaI crystals, significantly improving imaging quality and sensitivity to high-energy photons.

The system also features the RoboCart™ for automatic collimator exchange, ensuring swift transitions between different isotopes. This innovation supports Heidelberg's clinical trials and individualized patient care, potentially reducing imaging times in patient treatment.
