McFarlane Lake Mining Announces Completion of AI-driven Prospectivity Analysis

McFarlane Lake Mining Limited, a Canadian exploration and development firm, disclosed the successful completion of an AI-based Prospectivity Analysis on its wholly owned High Lake property. Conducted by Mercator Geological Services, the analysis utilized Artificial Intelligence to identify both surface and subsurface exploration targets, focusing on areas such as geological structure and mineralization.

The analysis, incorporating Knowledge-driven and Supervised Machine Learning algorithms, including the Random Forest algorithm, revealed the property’s potential based on existing geological data. This information is expected to guide future explorations and supports the company's assessment of the High Lake property's potential, particularly in the previously assessed Purdex Zone and newly claimed areas.

Techniques such as 3D subsurface modelling were applied, using Leapfrog Geo software to interpret the prospectivity scores derived from machine learning, with positive correlations to gold mineralization probabilities and assay results. This has highlighted new areas of interest on the property, notably in its northern sections.

While the findings are promising, the company notes that these machine learning-generated results require cautious interpretation. This development follows the company's announcement of a significant drilling program aimed at expanding its understanding and resources within the High Lake Purdex Zone, following a recent NI 43-101 compliant Mineral Resource Estimate.
