Mawson Achieves High Marks for Sustainable Exploration in Finland

Mawson Finland Limited has announced the successful verification of its sustainability practices within the Finnish Standards for Sustainable Exploration. Through its subsidiary Mawson Oy, managing the Rajapalot project, the company excelled with top performance levels in sustainability assessments, finalized in December 2024.

The Finnish mining industry follows the international Towards Sustainable Mining standard to enhance responsible practices, focusing on environmental, social, and economic performance. Mawson achieved the highest possible ratings in "Community relationships" and "The Environment," and was rated above legislative requirements in "Safety."

The verification process, endorsed by independent auditors every three years, ensures companies' self-assessment accuracy. Mawson's CEO, Noora Ahola, emphasized the company's commitment to continually improve its operations, underscoring ESG as vital for project development and investor interest.
