Marvel Discovery Corp. to Resume Gold Exploration at Victoria Lake in Q2 2024

Marvel Discovery Corp. has announced plans to initiate a till sampling exploration program at its Victoria Lake Property in Q2 2024. This decision follows the 2023 reconnaissance till and soil sampling which uncovered anomalous gold. The Victoria Lake Property spans over the Victoria Lake Shear Zone (VLSZ) in Central Newfoundland, presenting a strategic exploration area within a promising orogenic gold domain. The program aims to further investigate the findings from 2023, including the second highest regional gold-in-till sample documented, showing 785 ppb Au, hinting at significant gold potential.

Karim Rayani, CEO of Marvel, revealed that the 2023 program unveiled multiple gold anomalies. With over 20% of the samples showing anomalous gold, the 2024 detailed sampling will concentrate on these zones. Marvel's project is amidst a significant fault and shear zone corridor hosting various gold occurrences, drawing attention to the camp's broader potential for gold discovery. Additionally, the company’s strategic focus on the Victoria Lake Project underscores its commitment to uncovering tier-one projects amid favorable gold market conditions.

Adjacent to Marvel's property, recent developments like the acquisition of the Valentine Gold Project by Calibre Mining Corp., underscore the area’s attractiveness for gold mining. The Valentine Gold Project is set to begin gold production in 2025, with expectations of significant annual output.
