Leonteq AG Announces Strong Half-Year 2024 Results
Leonteq AG (SIX: LEON) reported a return to profitability for the first half of 2024, driven by a 32% growth in net fee income. The net profit for the period stood at CHF 15.7 million, a significant improvement from a CHF 8.2 million loss in the second half of 2023.
The company's platform activity reached record levels with 23,946 products issued and 146,409 transactions processed. Turnover surged by 66% to CHF 15.8 billion. The trading result normalized to CHF 11.2 million compared to CHF 18.8 million in H2 2023.
Leonteq's CEO, Lukas Ruflin, announced his intention to step down once a successor is appointed. The Board plans to propose his election as a new member of the Board at the next shareholders' meeting.
Outlook for 2024 remains positive, with a clear ambition to grow profits compared to 2023.
