Leo Cancer Care Gains CE Mark for Marie® Radiotherapy System

Leo Cancer Care has secured CE mark approval for its Marie® upright radiotherapy system, paving the way for its commercial rollout across Europe. This milestone introduces a novel approach to radiotherapy that allows patients to receive treatment while seated upright, diverging from the traditional lying flat method.

This innovation aims to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency in cancer centers, with flexible support for both established and emerging treatment modalities. Marie® is uniquely compatible with various particle therapy techniques, positioning it as a future-proof platform for advanced radiotherapy solutions.

The Centro Nazionale di Adroterapia Oncologica in Italy is among the first European centers to adopt this technology, with plans for treatment initiation by year-end. Leo Cancer Care is actively collaborating with other key cancer institutions across the continent to expedite the integration of this patient-centric therapy.
