Leadership Transition at MPC Capital AG: Constantin Baack Appointed CEO

MPC Capital AG, a key player in asset and investment management based in Hamburg, announced significant changes in its executive team effective from 13 June 2024. Constantin Baack, currently a board member managing the Shipping division, will step into the role of Chief Executive Officer, taking over from Ulf Holländer, who has served on the board for 24 years and as CEO for the last nine. Holländer will transition to the Supervisory Board after the Annual General Meeting.

The Supervisory Board also appointed Christian Schwenkenbecher as Chief Client Officer, enhancing the management board's capabilities. Schwenkenbecher, who joined MPC Capital in 2022 and previously spent a decade in investment banking, brings extensive experience in institutional sales and product management.

Dr. Axel Schroeder, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, praised Holländer's pivotal role in repositioning MPC Capital as a diversified asset manager. Schroeder expressed confidence in Baack's leadership, acknowledging his contributions to the company's transformation and expansion in the global market, particularly in maritime services and shipping investments.

Baack outlined his vision for MPC Capital, emphasizing the potential opportunities in global trade decarbonization and the energy transition. He committed to further developing MPC's strategic position and enhancing stakeholder relations worldwide.
