Labforward Merges with LabTwin to Enhance Laboratory Digitalization

Labforward GmbH and LabTwin, both based in Berlin, are merging to offer an expanded portfolio of AI and voice-supported solutions for digitalization, connectivity, and workflow optimization in laboratory environments. LabTwin, a subsidiary of Sartorius, will integrate its operations with Labforward. Sartorius will become a shareholder in the merged entity, which will operate under the Labforward name and be headquartered at LabTwin's previous location.

Joerg Hoffmann, CEO of Labforward, emphasized the benefits of the merger, stating it enhances technological expertise, service orientation, and customer support. Strategic partnerships with companies like Sartorius, TECAN, and CARPUS will further strengthen the company's market position. The merger will allow Labforward to continue offering individual products in collaboration with other lab informatics solutions.

Magdalena Paluch, outgoing CEO of LabTwin, highlighted the progress made with AI and voice control in laboratories. She expressed confidence that the merger will drive broader usage and development of these technologies. The first joint solutions from the newly merged company are expected later this year.
