Kolmar Korea to Lead AI Factory Initiative in K-Beauty Manufacturing

Kolmar Korea has been selected as the sole cosmetics company to participate in the government-backed "AI Factory" project led by South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources. This initiative marks a significant step towards AI-driven autonomy in manufacturing, which aims to boost the global competitiveness of the K-beauty industry.

The company plans to develop an AI autonomous system for all cosmetic production processes, from planning to packaging. This system will enable agile, small-batch production to meet diverse customer demands in real time. Kolmar Korea's efforts include modularizing manufacturing stages and applying advanced AI models to achieve over 95% process accuracy.

The four-year project, running until December 2029, will see Kolmar Korea as a leader in the AI Transformation of cosmetics manufacturing. Key strategies involve developing an integrated data platform and autonomous process-control AI models. The initiative underscores the potential of AI in enhancing production efficiency in the cosmetics industry.
