Klöckner & Co to Boost North American Growth with New Aluminum Facility

Klöckner & Co SE is set to build a new aluminum processing facility on the Aluminum Dynamics LLC campus in Columbus, Mississippi. This move aligns with its strategy to expand its high value-added product portfolio, reducing dependence on steel price volatility. This investment marks a significant step in accelerating growth in the automotive and industrial segments across the US and Mexico.

CEO Guido Kerkhoff highlights this as a continuation of their successful North American strategy, aiming to strengthen the company's market position in these vital regions. The facility, with an annual capacity of 250,000 tons, is slated for Q4 2026 and will leverage KMC’s expansive network across the US and Mexico.

John Ganem, CEO of Kloeckner Metals Corporation, emphasized the focus on enhancing their unique product offerings to meet growing market demand. The collaboration with Steel Dynamics Inc. will further bolster Klöckner & Co’s market strategy.
