Klaus Eberhardt to step down from ElringKlinger AG's Supervisory Board

Klaus Eberhardt, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at ElringKlinger AG, announced his plan to resign from his position by the end of the upcoming Annual General Meeting scheduled for May 16, 2024. This decision is part of his initiative towards facilitating timely succession planning. Eberhardt expressed confidence in the company's trajectory and financial health, citing its well-positioned product portfolio and solid key financial indicators. The move comes as Eberhardt, who recently turned 76, seeks to transition his responsibilities to newer leadership.

Eberhardt has been a crucial figure on the Supervisory Board since May 2013 and took on the role of Chairman in May 2017. His career also includes significant leadership roles at Rheinmetall AG, Dürr AG, and MTU Aero Engines AG. The task of selecting his successor will be undertaken by the company’s Nomination Committee, which aims to present their proposal for the new Chairman at the Supervisory Board meeting on March 26, 2024.
