KION Group Opens Advanced Distribution Center in Kahl am Main

The KION Group has unveiled a state-of-the-art spare parts distribution center in Kahl am Main, strengthening service in Central Europe. The €90 million facility integrates advanced automation and digitalization technologies from KION's Dematic and Linde Material Handling brands. President Andreas Krinninger highlighted the center's role in enhancing supply chain resilience and sustainability.

The 22,000-square-meter center features a high-tech, fully automated warehouse system, promoting efficiency and flexibility. Equipped with a 30-meter-high high-bay warehouse and an intelligent material flow system, the facility enables rapid customer order processing using autonomous mobile robots and industrial trucks.

Located strategically in central Europe, the site is pivotal for KION’s operations, aligning with economic and environmental objectives. This investment, supported by local authorities, also creates new skilled jobs, signaling a commitment to the Kahl community.
