Kia's PV5 Wins 2026 International Van of the Year

Kia Europe's first all-electric van, the PV5, has earned the '2026 International Van of the Year' (IVOTY) award. This marks a significant achievement for Kia and for a Korean manufacturer. A jury of commercial vehicle journalists from 26 countries voted for the PV5, which was honored during the IVOTY Award Gala at SOLUTRANS 2025 in Lyon, France.

The PV5 has set a new standard in the light commercial vehicle segment with its zero-emission performance, versatility, and practicality. Jarlath Sweeney, Chairman of the IVOTY jury, praised the PV5 for redefining expectations in the industry. The van was also recognized for its real-world capabilities, holding a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the longest distance traveled by an electric van with a full payload on a single charge. Kia plans to expand its PV series in Europe with additional variants in 2026.
