Juuso Heinilä Named New CEO of Finnvera Oyj Effective June 2024

Finnvera Oyj has announced the appointment of Juuso Heinilä as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) starting 1 June 2024. Heinilä, who currently serves as the Executive Vice President responsible for SME and midcap financing, has been a part of Finnvera since 2016. Prior to his time at Finnvera, Heinilä held various leadership roles at the Oulu branch of the OP Financial Group and was the regional director for Northern Finland.

The appointment was made by Finnvera's Board of Directors, with Chair Petri Ekman expressing satisfaction at having found a suitable CEO from within the organization. Ekman also acknowledged Heinilä's significant contributions to Finnvera, especially in navigating SME and midcap financing through challenging times.

Heinilä expressed his excitement about his new role and highlighted Finnvera's critical role in supporting the Finnish economy and exports. He pledged to continue developing operations to assist entrepreneurs and Finnish companies in achieving success. He will be succeeding Pauli Heikkilä, who will retire next autumn after nearly two decades as Finnvera's CEO.

Ekman praised outgoing CEO Heikkilä for his long and distinguished service and credited him with continuously enhancing Finnvera's services and financing solutions to meet customer needs.
