Julius Baer Reports Strong Asset Growth and Solid Capital Position
Julius Baer Group Ltd. announced substantial growth in assets under management (AuM) for the first ten months of 2024, reaching CHF 480 billion, a 12% increase. The growth was fueled by strong stock markets and net inflows of CHF 11 billion. The CET1 capital ratio improved to 16.7%, reflecting a robust capital framework.
Net new money inflows accelerated to CHF 7.5 billion from July to October. Excluding a large transaction, the inflow pace was 4.2%. Significant contributions came from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The gross margin decreased slightly to 83 basis points in the period.
The group maintained a strong capital position, with a total capital ratio of 24.7%. Julius Baer anticipates a significantly higher IFRS net profit for 2024 compared to the previous year. CEO Stefan Bollinger will assume his role on 9 January 2025.
