JOST Invests in Trailer Dynamics to Enhance E-Trailer Technology

Neu-Isenburg, July 10, 2024. JOST Werke SE is investing EUR 15 million in Trailer Dynamics GmbH, a start-up focused on trailer electrification. This strategic move aims to enhance cooperation in the arena of e-trailer technology.

Trailer Dynamics, founded in 2018, has developed an intelligent electric drivetrain for e-trailers. This innovation significantly improves electric truck range and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. The start-up was recently awarded "Innovator of the Year 2024" by the TOP 100 innovation competition jury.

JOST’s investment will help industrialize a market-ready series product within 18 months. The strategic partnership allows JOST to act as a supplier and distribution partner for Trailer Dynamics' electrification kit.

Joachim Dürr, CEO of JOST, emphasized the need for climate-neutral solutions in the transport industry. Michael W. Nimtsch, CFO of Trailer Dynamics, highlighted the synergy between their technology and JOST’s industry experience.

With JOST joining as an investor, Trailer Dynamics will continue to develop its groundbreaking products, contributing to a zero-emission transport future.
